Megan N. Brooks, AIA, Licensed

Although a couple of months overdue, we’re nevertheless proud to share that Megan Brooks, one of our dedicated Associates, has officially become a licensed Architect in New York State. This achievement marks the culmination of years of hard work, commitment, and perseverance. Please join us in congratulating Megan on this significant professional milestone!

Megan’s experience spans a wide range of tasks, from the technical aspects of document production and code review to the creative side of generating renderings and 3D models. Her proficiency with BIM software is especially valuable, as it’s a key tool in modern architectural design. Megan demonstrates flexibility by showcasing a willingness to explore various approaches to meet the client’s needs. She also uses a process of creating multiple options that involve identifying the project requirements and constraints to generate alternative solutions to address them. By utilizing this process, she displays her ability to communicate effectively and create unique possibilities for each client and their projects.

Megan's expertise in historic preservation and higher education projects is a valuable combination. Historic preservation requires a deep understanding of both the technical and cultural aspects of architecture, ensuring that buildings are conserved while meeting modern needs and codes. Her ability to navigate these complexities, particularly with BIM and 3D models, can be a game changer for such projects. On the other hand, higher education projects come with their own set of challenges, such as accommodating diverse learning environments, optimizing spaces for faculty and students, and adhering to stringent regulations. Her experience with schematic designs and project management is especially useful in these large-scale, collaborative environments. Megan’s focus on technical documentation and construction administration further highlights her well-rounded skill set, especially in the context of historic preservation and higher education projects.

Congratulations again, Megan N. Brooks, AIA!
