SUNY Geneseo -
Sturges Hall

Ongoing

Sturges Hall was built in 1938 and is SUNY Geneseo’s signature historic structure. Sturges originally functioned as the college’s administration building, but as the campus expanded, it assumed the History Department, student services, tutoring, and faculty offices as well. The two-phase State University Construction Fund project will thoroughly renovate the structure to accommodate these programs and provide updated, 21st-century learning environments.

Flynn Battaglia Architects has completed the design for Phase I: Demolition, Abatement & Window Replacement, which will be completed in 2024. Phase II, Fit Out, will begin construction in Summer 2024.
