Exterior Restoration
Completed 2013
Flynn Battaglia Architects was asked to design the restoration and rehabilitation of the exterior envelope components of the facility. The design work included the installation of a new clay tile roof to match the 1896 original, as well as masonry, roof and window restoration. The entry pavilions and porte cochere were rebuilt to correct the deterioration in stone and iron work as well as restabilizing the tower. A number of tests as well as investigative surveying were necessary throughout the project in order to correctly detail and effectively repair the building envelope.
