Flynn Battaglia Architects carefully restored the 67-foot-tall center dome of the National Registry conservatory, the focal point of the world-renowned Frederick Law Olmsted-designed South Park in Buffalo, NY. Design included extensive research to determine the quality of existing elements to be restored including steel and aluminum framing, cast iron gutters, cypress wood window walls and sandstone foundations.   Other challenges included developing a custom mullion cap system to accommodate modern, fritted, safety glass.
